The featured image shows a column of water that formed when a spherical object was quickly pulled from underwater to above water. This was achieved by modifying a ping pong ball so it no longer floated in water, fixing a cord to the ping pong ball, and pulling on the cord to force the ping pong ball to rapidly surface and “leap” out of the water.

    I agree with Luke that the color noise makes the image interesting, and the level of contrast you’re able to achieve is so striking and allows you to see the structure of the water well

    I know that ISO noise is usually frowned upon, but I think the multicolored noise in the bottom corners add to the image from an artistic perspective.
