I chose this image because it looks captivating and almost unbelievable. This effect was done by spraying water on a patterned shower curtain that was sitting over clear plastic chips. The refraction of the water droplets amplifies the ridges on the shower curtain and captures the colors underneath.

Third – the colors from the refraction of the water combined with the geometric stripes from the shower curtain make this image really stunning.
Third Prize – In this piece I’m drawn immediately to the iridescence and the magnificence of the rainbow. On a longer inspection, watching these droplets play on the shower curtain reminds me of watching droplets streak across my parent’s car windshield as we drove somewhere in the rain.
Second Prize: I agree with you in how this photo looks almost unbelievable. Seeing the shape and surface tension on the water droplets, the texture in the overall image, along with the broad mix of colors is awesome.
Third Place – What makes it work is the repetition, so many drops doing the same thing but each one slightly different in size and color spread.

The coloration and pattern of the water droplets really stood out to me. The circular pattern around the drops as well are particularly interesting.
