The image was taken from inside parking lot 543 on East campus (40.009180, -105.251181) and the Skew-T graph was taken from the Grand Junction, CO station (39.120, -108.524) on September 5th, 2026 at 5:00 pm MST. The clouds seen here are most likely Stratocumulus clouds. These clouds usually form in unstable atmospheres and that could be seen in the Skew-T graph below. The main cloud forming region is around the 560 millibar region.
