Cloud Second – Leo Steinbarth

The cloud image I captured depicts what a mesmerizing view of what seem like infinite rows of stratocumulus clouds in Point of Rocks, Wyoming at 12:15 PM on November 25th, 2023 facing South. I enhanced the saturation and lighting to bring out the intricate cloud details, creating my image. The way the sun was trying to penetrate through a tight gap in between the rows of stratocumulus clouds adds style points. I identified stratocumulus clouds based on the approximate height of the rows being about 2 miles (3.21 km) and the cool grey colored clouds in a corn-row-like formation. The image was 3024 x 4032 pixels and the camera I used was a Apple iPhone 13 mini with the following settings: f1.6 , 12mp, ISO 40, 26mm,1/17241s.
