Nice picture, and cool phenomenon. Is the atmosphere actually unstable, because it looks rather stable. Maybe the skew-T isn’t representative of here.

I like the whites in the clouds, did you bring up the whites in post-processing? It contrasts well with the rest of the image

Really like the effect of the coloring, makes the image look very ominous. The fog being below the mountains is very cool and interesting to see.

This is very cool! It is definitely unique, among mostly images of clouds high in the sky, the clouds are pooling up in South Park Valley. By making the image black and white, the mood is calm but the image feels cool and crisp with the frosty look on the ground. Great job capturing this image!

    – Great photo!
    – I imagine this is a difficult type of photo to capture and doesn’t last very long.
    – It is well focused, I would only suggest cropping out a little bit of the land on the bottom to focus more on the fog/land interaction.

What a cool phenomena to capture. It definitely is a unique submission. I’m impressed with the sharpness for a handheld shot in such low lighting. The slightly cool color tone you applied I think really works for this image. I think it is particularly neat that you can see off into the distance on the right that the fog is sitting low all though the valley.

I love how peaceful the image feels. The mountains in the background make this image for me and provide a nice contrast with the fog.

The mysterious and beautiful imagery in this photo is absolutely brilliant. It almost reminds me of an opening scene from The Walking Dead which is known for its foggy and quiet scenery shots. I love that you had the tenacity to get up before sunrise and take this image considering it is getting closer to the end of Daylight Savings Time and the light is beginning to come out sooner. What a enjoy about the clouds themselves is how they bleed onto the landscape and cover it like a milky blanket. The artistic merit feels as though this image could be on the cover of a ranch calendar. The rolling landscapes are absolutely gorgerous as the viewer sees more of the image from bottom to top.

Unique idea to take a picture of fog. The flow is clearly seen through the tree line and the bumps in the mountains.

Very interesting subject, really cool. I would only suggest intensifying the purple/violet color in the top right and maybe making the white of the fog more bright.

The tone on this image is very relaxed and cool, definitely can tell the temperature in this image. I love how the center of the image has the clouds slowly disappearing into the fog, and how far you can track the fog into the deep mountains far away.

Very surprising photo of fogs, that is, a different kind of clouds. Mysterious and enjoyable!

Awesome layer of fog. Great color tint to the picture gives the image a nice cold feeling. NIce amount of detail in the landscape.

Art: I really like the dark tones of the fog and the trees and mountains is really well done.
Flow: The flow is quickly understandable and easily recognized.
Photographic technique: The depth of field for this piece was really well done with sharp edges on both the foreground and background.

Super moody colors here. At first, it almost looks black and white, but there are some subtle colors that i really appreciate. I think you did a great job with the processing, it makes the image feel more realistic, not less, like post processing can often do. I also appreciate the change in subject material, from all the fluffy clouds to this calmer setting.

The low fog and editing combine well to make an eery atmosphere. The forest in the foreground also contributes to this feeling. Just in time for Halloween I would say.

This photo is gorgeous. The composition is incredible, I can almost feel the chill of the setting, the cooling filter is awesome and the lack of color is very effective. The flow is really interesting, sounds like a pretty unique setting.

Wow this is gorgeous. The blanket of fog looks unreal. The neutral tones and the field make this picture calming. I love the little fence, it gives it character. The black trees provide a beautiful contrast to the light fog. Love this picture!

Excellent eerie image, fog really creeps around the image. Contrast between the white fog and dark trees is excellent. Nice depth of field captured in the image. Possibly try and remove the fence in post processing?

I love the gloomy, doomsday-esque feel of the photo with the fog. The decision to keep such a large foreground helps to give an idea of the landscape.

For some reason, this gives me a Lord of the Rings feel. I really like the details of the landscape are lost as the fog comes forwards. It gives a nice perspective. The focus is really sharp, well done.

Really cool looking fog hovering down in the valley. So cool how it all appears to be hovering at the same level throughout the valley.
