I am certainly not writing this 15 minutes before the Final presentation for the class. This experiment consisted of vibrating a paint-water mixture on a shake-table in the engineering center. I filmed the phenomena in slow-motion on my iPhone (truly the most professional photography setup). The table shook at a frequency of about 17 hz, which created these nearly standing waves. These waves can be easily modeled by Laplace’s spherical harmonic polynomials, as well as Spherical Legendre polynomials. If I were to guess, I would say they are of order 5 in the video. That is all, enjoy the cheese and crackers.

Here is my report:

I really like this, it’s so cool that you were able to capture the standing waves. I like the color of the paint as well, the only thing I would change is the cropping.

Really like the color used and the shape of the blobs captured, I imagine the one on the right is at its apex

I love how you were able to capture the modes of the fluid. I hope to see more from you!
