Water Stream

This image shows water being sent into a depression/ valley created by a tarp and being sent into the air as droplets, it demonstrates a multitude of physical phenomena. The most prominent of which being the surface tension of water droplets, along with a small sheet of laminar flow.

I like the color range in your picture! The blue part of the water blends well with the color of the underlying tarp. Did you edit colors in the photo to show the make it look this way, or did the raw photo look like this?

  • Hi Rohan, I really like how this image is composed, it’s interesting to see the whole flow of the water over the tarp from start to finish. I also think it’s impressive how the surface of the water is so clearly distinguishable over the tarp rather than being fully transparent.

I like that you can see the water flowing over the ridge, and how gravity begins to bring the flow downwards.

I really like the visibility of the wrinkles in the tarp, really helps to visualize how the flow is developing at this moment.
