Clouds 2, Stable Atmosphere // John Whiteman

This photo was taken in Boulder Colorado on October 15, 2022, with the camera pointed about 60 degrees into the sky. By examining the Skew-T diagram we can conclude that the atmospheric conditions were completely stable (indicated by the CAPE value of 0.00, and that these wispy clouds likely formed around 4500 meters above sea level, where the temperature and dewpoint lines come closest to intercepting one another. I believe these are some sort of lower-altitude cirrus formations, but I’m not sure.
