Image-Video 1: Acrylic Paint

This is an image of acrylic paint that I placed at the top of a canvas. I used 7 colors and put them in a line at the top of the canvas. Then I tilted the canvas to point downward while I used a blow dryer to try to mix the colors naturally. As the paint began to dry, the movement became slower and mixing the colors became more difficult. So I added more paint and tried again but I had the same issue which was frustrating because I wanted to cover the whole canvas. I want to try to add water to the paint next time and maybe place the paints in a different location on the canvas.

I like the color scheme and the orientation of the flow as it flows from the top of the page to the bottom. It has really nice depth here as well.

I enjoy how many colors you used in the image and how vivid they are. I also think what you did in post processing worked very well to give the image a clean art gallery feel. Nice Job!

The color scheme almost reminds me of a picasso painting!

I really like the textures that you can see in this photo. I think having the dried clumps in with the liquid is really interesting!

I like the crop on this image so the focus is concentrated on the fluid flow through the colors in the paint.

I like the shape created by the drips and hair dryer, I think it adds to the aesthetics. Paint is a shear thinning fluid, so that may be why a force from the hair dry helped it to flow.
